Space Walk

This warm-up game is good for relaxation.

Can be changed to Peanut Butter Walk, Jello Walk , etc

The leader

directs players to walk around the available space. To start with they

should walk slowly and in no particular way. The leader then directs

the players to focus on their bodies and the space around them, using

such phrases as, "Feel the space around you. Feel it moving past your

face, past your chest and legs. Feel it flowing around behind your

back. Feel it between your fingers," and so forth. The game can end

there or be continued by having the players walk like an animal, an

age, an emotion, or some famous person. To focus on detailed perception

of the playing space have the players stop, close their eyes, take five

steps in a random direction, then open their eyes and examine their

surroundings.
